The "New York Moment"
I knew I was officially in the backwash of a post 9-11 New York City when I was at work one day. A cab went down the street and a skateboarder was hanging off of the door just like Marty in Back To The Future. The cabbie wasn’t pissed off or anything! He smiled as the skater let go and they waved at each other!

URS FISCHER had his first giant solo exhibition in the US recently. The three main floors of The New Museum held his creations. One room: large open space with a croissant suspended in mid air and when you get close you realize there’s a little fly on there. Then you see a hole in the wall. A giant wall with a little hole. Day Off for December 9th
Today I got a fade in Bed Stuy and new Reebok Classic Clubs (black).
I ate pay-by-the-pound-soul-food at the buffet. Fried chicken, black eyed peas, and potato salad. The bus ride back smelled like plastic bags and coffee with the sun on the side and the weather was nice.
